Jeremy Struik wins SDG Dirt Comp Finals and the overall.

The SDG Dirt Comp 2008 has come to an end. The Finals were held on the A4 trails, home trails to the organizing SDG crew. Jeremy (MTBpro), Nicky (BMXpro) and Jean Pierre (MTB) won the finals and the overall titles.

Sun, low wind, many dirt loving riders on the scene, a neat little camp fire, a bit of BBQ'ing, great music, happy faces all around the place and not to forget, brilliant riding! Sounds great doesn’t it? Well, let me say it was.

Kona dirt demo in Assen at the baggelhuizerplassen, the Netherlands.

Three Dutch riders were asked to give a dirt demo during the 6/24 hour mtb race at the baggelhuizerplassen (That’s in Assen in province Drenthe, The Netherlands). It was the best thing!

Kevin Katinas wins SDG Dirt Comp event three in Heerenveen

Kevin Katinas wins the SDG Dirt Comp event during the opening of Bikepark Heerenveen. It was one of the best days for Dutch dirt jumping yet.

The circle was completed in the big village of Heerenveen, the scene that started with Kevin Katinas jumping of stuff with a XC bike, has grown into a DJ scene with a small hard core, but that has a huge bunch of kids that also want to ride somehow. And with the opening of Bikepark Heerenveen recently, after years of hard work , and with Katinas winning the third SDG Dirt Comp event at his home trails, it was another step in making this scene more productive and alive for years to come.

Joris Ottenschytsch wins second SDG Dirt Comp.

The second event of the SDG Dirt Comp at the Hellentrails in Goirle, the Netherlands, was won by Joris Ottschytsch (MTB pro) and Sven Grieten (BMX pro). With a few hundred people standing around the course and a sun warming us up every now and then, the mood was great.

Martin Söderström wins Nissan Qashqai Challenge in Munich

About 25.000 spectators came to the event in Munich and with that being the biggest crowd of all Qashqai events, a fantastic event was expected. Some of the world’s best mountain bikers like Cameron Zink, Cameron Mc Caul, Paul Basagoitia, Lance McDermott and Andreu Lacondeguy were in Munich to have a good time with a bunch of young riders ready to step in.

Holland’s first dirt competitions started last Saturday with the first event in Drachten.

Dutch's best MTB DJ/Slope Style riders were there with a few BMX riders, to have a good day together with what has become a small group of mates.

T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds - Dirt Session - The MTB Slope Style event

The T-Mobile extreme playgrounds Dirt Session took place last Sunday in Duisburg-Nord, Germany. Some of the world’s most skilled mountain bikers were there to LAY - IT - DOWN!

Many truck loads of dirt, 2500 meters of wood, 3500 pins and with 20 people building it into a sick north shore and some dirt arena, it's sure a job well done. And what about the public, 4500 spectators cheering at the riders and not to forget, three top acts for the sweeping sounds; Jack Penate, Millencolin and Sportfreunde Stiller were almost taking the old factory apart.
